On the occasion of the release of ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,’ the finale of the most beloved movie franchises of all time Samsung teamed up with Lucasfilm to unite two Galaxies in one ad campaigne. As you remember this film saga started with George Lucas’s very first Star Wars back in 1977, which began the saga of the Skywalker family.
At the beginning of the spot you see a young men at an animal shelter watching a Star Wars on his mobile phone. On the screen he noticed Chewbacca that looks like the dog in the shelter. He took a photo of it and then posted it on social media urging people to adopt him by using the #RescueChewieDog hashtag.
A young teenage sees the photo and tries to convince her dad to rescue the Chewie dog. When they come to a shelter for a puppy, it was too late. They got sad to know that the Chewie Dog has already been adopted by another family. At this moment they hear the sound of the opening cage door and the familiar ‘The Imperial march’ track playing. They noticed a cat in the costume of a famous Star Wars film character. An incredible idea crossed her mind – she takes Darth Vader cat.
The spot ends with the tagline ‘Connect your Galaxy this Holiday.’ If your friends and relatives are in a galaxy far, far away, you can always stay in touch with them by using Samsung Galaxy devices.
